I wrote for an hour last night about this anniversary of the heart today.
And then I threw it all away.
Sometimes the words seem too much.
Sassy was a beautiful little spirit with a nose for food and a penchant for connection. I always wonder what it meant to her to need to be touching. Was it a quest for wholeness ? For safety ? For comfort ?
Maybe it wasn’t for her at all.
Maybe it was always for me.
My wholeness.
My safety.
My comfort.
No words.
Ghost notes …
We miss you, Sassy-pants ♡
And Gus and Yoda do too.
Our forever thanks to Resting Waters for their loving care. You can read about them
here
“We who choose to surround ourselves
with lives even more temporary than our own, live within a fragile circle;
easily and often breached.
Unable to accept its awful gaps,
we would still live no other way.
We cherish memory as the only
certain immortality, never fully
understanding the necessary plan.”
