Where I’ve Been

Oh yes, those Virgina rail are tough to capture, but this was a momma looking for her baby and she was very vocal! Thanks so much for the kind words. Definitely unexpected, but we remain very optimistic. The waiting has been the hardest part. We are lucky to have each other and a lot of friends to keep our spirits up.

I thought it was too late for them to be mating, but I’ve since learned that they can have two clutches a year. Lovely day in my local area!
