Beautiful photos! Saw several “cousins” of these birds a bit south of there this past weekend. (Photos coming soon-ish….) The bittern was a new one for me; I’ll keep my eye out next time. Sorry to hear about your camera woes; hope it’s a quick and permanent fix.
I’ll look forward to seeing your day in photos! My claim for repair is approved now it’s just the test of my own patience as it makes it way through their process. Thanks for the kind words!
Thanks. My camera is busted again. Same issue I had before. No words for my frustration. Very glad that Alan chose what he did. This one is feeling like a Nikon lemon 🙄
I’ve had offers if need be. I have very kind friends who understand this frustration. My claim for repair under my protection plan was accepted, so now I wait.

Magnificent company. Most seems really pleased to be in your photos. 🙂
I had an encounter with a grand bird just before Christmas. You can find it in two photos in this post:

Could it be Northern Harrier?
I think that IS a harrier! Nice shots!
Excellent! Thank you!
Magnificent indeed. My favorite is the bittern with the sticks at all angles to his beak. Stunning.

Oh no!! How very frustrating! Do you have a backup while it gets fixed?
