Ha ! Thanks Ann. They fascinate me. By design, they are adapted to place little pressure on the surface on which they’re standing. It’s part of what makes them such stealth hunters. And they are quite something to look at, too !

And quite the poser today ! They have a hundred different looks, always something different !
I get excited every time I see a gb heron. Still hoping to someday see a green heron though. These are lovely!
