Beautiful Diversion
ByI remain humbled by the outpouring of love and support by my postal family. I am working on thank you cards and realize that I have A LOT to send. I hope you know how grateful I am and how much I appreciate your patience in my offering of thanks.
I had the opportunity to take an amazing hike with a friend on Friday to Comet Falls, Van Trump Park and the trail to Mildred Point in MRNP. It was a glorious day. The rain came this morning, so our timing couldn’t have been better. The most wonderful surprise was this gorgeous fox. I have since learned it to be a Cascadian Red Fox, with a beautiful winter coat. She was fearless and friendly. Sometimes I feel like the luckiest woman in the world !
I love that yellow line level photo so much! What a glorious day you had. I never would have thought that trail was hikable in November. And the fox. Oh my goodness. Surely an omen of something wonderful to come.

I thought the same thing about that fox ! Yes, the weather window was perfect for a trip up there. I know the snow is coming but it was nice to get into the park to see Comet Falls in all of her glory ! Oh, and I still haven’t made it all the way to Mildred Point !
