Hypnagogia

Who knew there was a name ?
Movement within movement

A startling pitch forward to
Wakefulness from dream

Me
With gossamer wings
Delicate star-tips
A sturdy araneae weave ..

Minced
into f r a g m e n t s

It is hard to remember
That they ever held me
That those wings ever flew

  1. Thanks for the kind words about my poem. I don’t usually share my own so I’m even more grateful. The photos, I discovered, were copyrighted and not my own. I know I am a tiny tadpole in the blogosphere but I never want to use something without permission.

  2. 😮 What a cool word! Also hypnopompic! (Spell check doesn’t even know it.) And those photos! Oh my gosh! Gorgeous. I have never noticed the spiraling center of a spider’s web. I will be looking now. The poem is jaw dropping.

You know I'd love to hear from you !
